Arwen Slipper Socks!!!
I'm so glad that I bought the Arwen Slipper Socks pattern! They're so satisfying to make. I finished the cuff and I'm working on the heel now. I can't wait until I get to graft the toe!

The Chrissa Project!
I recently posted a pattern on Ravelry titled "Single Stitch Baby Socks". I had a lot of experimenting with DPNs and, after a lot of fiddling, mastered them. They were overall my biggest challenge, so after I finished a tube I felt on top of the world! I decided to make socks! My friends had all told me they started with baby socks, so I gave it a go. I have no idea who I'll give these to, as I know no babies that they'd fit, but who knows? Maybe I'll just keep them to look back and remember how victorious I felt after making them!
Materials:
3 mm (US 4) DPNs
Patons Classic Wool ( 2 skeins) in color of choice
Size B crochet hook (2.25 mm)
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Something to try the sock on. If the baby you're making them for isn't around, try using a toy or stuffed animal--it sounds silly, but it's only so that you can monitor the size of your sock.
PATTERN:
Cast on 60 sts and seperate the stitches onto 3 needles evenly. Now, begin to knit (plain knitting will create st st even if you don't purl!) until your piece measures about 5 inches, OR the length you desire for the "cuff". Remember about the picot edge, so don't make it too long since you'll be adding to it later.
OK--keep knitting until your piece is the length of your baby's foot and fits well.
ATTENTION! PATTERN WAS WRONG! I'M FIXING IT NOW. I'M SORRY THAT IT STOPPED SO ABRUPTLY--IT WILL BE BACK UP SOON, I PROMISE!

DPNs 4 Life!
Ah! I finally learned how to use DPNs!! After countless videos and books and tries I managed to complete my first project on them--a "playful possum". I will post pictures as soon as my camera is recharged. In the meantime I have to "get crackin'"--I joined 2 swaps on Ravelry and haven't started either project yet!! One is to make purses and one is to make an Alan Dart or Jean Greenhowe toy. I'm so mad at myself--I refused to buy "Irresistable Gifts To Knit" by Alan Dart when I saw it, and now IT'S OUT OF PRINT!!!!! Ahhh! Hopefully I can make a post on Ravelry to see if anyone has a copy to spare.
Until next time,
Llama Girl
